Newbie in New Zealand

Welcome to BYC from the middle of the U.S., St. Louis, Missouri. I spent two weeks on your marvelous island 20 years ago. I've been trying to get back ever since LOL Hubby still loves to tell the stories of me driving everywhere and trying to park on the left side of the road. Although I can do it with no problem on a one way street in our country, apparently the drivers seat on the other side of the car, ruined my senses somehow. LOL It took me completely by surprise too, because I can park on either side of the road with only a few inches to spare in front and back, due to living in Chicago for 4 years. There are very few places I'd ever live outside the U.S. but your island is one of them....just stunning and the people are marvelous!

Hello, and thank you so much for the lovely compliments about the South Island of NZ. It’s lovely to hear as it’s so wary to take things for granted sometimes.
I’m sure I’d have similar driving challenges if I was trying to drive in the USA😬. It was difficult enough being a front seat car passenger in Italy a few years ago, I got very ‘whoozy’ with the right hand driving and felt better sitting in the back seat.
I am really enjoy my chickens.
