Hi, just introducing myself. Been soaking up as much info from you all as I could for months now, figured it was time to say HI :)
Never thought seriously about raising chickens until this year. Once I got the idea in my head, though, I became obsessed. I thought my DH would think I'd gone crazy, but he was all about it. We now have six crazy fun 3 & 4 week old chicks. We are halfway done with the formal coop and run. Thank you all for your posts with great information and inspiration.

The six we have are:
Barred Rock- DJ
Buckeye- Annie...or Andy, we're iffy, might be a roo
White Cochin-Pretty
Buff Orpington-Allie
Black Australorp-Minky
and last but not least
Easter Egger-Vera, but my son calls her Rocky, i.e. Rocky & Bullwinkle, lol
Need to get some pics and figure out how to post them.
