I have been reading the posts on your website in doing my research on raising chickens. I have not bought any yet... But I hope to soon. We are waiting on it to warm up some to build our coop. And it has rained every week keeping our place nearly flooded.
But I do want to raise some chickens that will give us extra large eggs. I have not seen that many breeds that will give me the extra large eggs yet. Any suggestions?
We will have a brooder box in our shed with a heat lamp over it for the baby chicks. And I have seen alot of different age ranges for the chicks to go outside in the coop. And I was hoping that some more experienced people could help me out with that. I will also have a heat lamp in the coop for them.
We also have 3 dogs, and a few cows that are just pets.
Thanks, chickadoodles

Hmm, extra large eggs... I heard the top 5 breeds in that laying category would be Barnevelder, Red Star Sexlink, Rhode island Red, commercial Leghorn and Delaware. Of these breeds I only have Leghorns and they do lay nice size eggs and lots of them!
