Newbie in Upstate NY

Hello All,
I have always wanted to raise chickens since I was a kid. My Grandpa had a small flock, and I have fond memories of walking down back to the coop to collect eggs for breakfast. So 20 some odd years later, I am finally in a place where I can raise a few layers and hopefully pass on some of my warm memories to my daughter. So my chicks just arrived today and I am completely new to all of this. I only ordered 5 chicks, 2 australorps, 2 golden laced wyandottes and 1 barred rock. So I am sure you all will be hearing a lot out me as I know I will have some questions. So I look forward to hearing from y'all.
