Newbie in Utah

Rufus, Howie, Lily, and Shimmy. Howie doesn't live with me though... its impossible to have two intact male terriers under the same roof without a lot of fighting. And I don't put up with that nonsense, so Howie lives with a friend of mine who lives down in Bountiful. I'm hoping to get him a permanent new home soon.

Back (somewhat) on topic, I finished my brooder area yesterday. Its a 4 x 4 expen with cardboard up the sides to keep the chicks contained. I'll try to get pics and put them on the brooder thread!

glad to have you on the site. it is very addictive but the information is top shelf.
Is this your first time with chickens ?

I've been around chickens before, when I worked at an animal shelter in college. They had chickens, geese, and a donkey that were permanent residents.

But yes, this will be my first time with my own chickens...and I've never dealt with a chicken that wasn't full grown before! I'm looking forward to getting my chicks
