Pics
Well it's day 17 for my first batch of Brahma eggs candled them all 8 are still giving me the toe if you will when I candled them. I know ppl aim to stop running on day 18 but can you stop turning on day 17? Also I need some advice 2of my pekin eggs look uh odd I think they are quitters but not 100% sure I think I see movement but that could just be me slowly turning them to see what were they are. First 2pics are of the same egg the 3rd pic is of the 2 egg.

Going to start lockdown tomorrow then as the 3 free eggs I was given were put in a few hours before the 6 paid eggs went in. Think I'll leave the other eggs for a day or so if nothing grow wise goes on or they start to smell I'll pull them. Bit annoyed at the sellers specially if they know poor packaged eggs can and will fail.

Eggs are neat. I'm a little different, (that's an understatement) I do not put dirty eggs into my incubators. The Incubators are cleaned with bleach prior to use,the water I add for humidity is a very mild bleach mix . The egs are cleaned with bleach and water before going into the incubator. Everything stays disinfected. It cut the smelly incubator OUT. The neat thing about the eggs is that I have cracked eggs for inspection after 21 plus days in the bator to find they look and smell like day old eggs. This ONLY occurs with unfertilized eggs

Tried my best to find bleach here in the UK but can't find it unless they call it something else. Heck car tires are spell tyres here. Really quite odd these lot lol. How does the mild bleach mix work for the humidity? Just curious never heard of that does it work well?

Once the egg is in the sterile environment the coating on the egg serves no purpose, IMO.
My hatch rates vary depending on where the eggs come from. MY eggs normally run around 80% if not stored for more than a week
