I've feed egg shells to my chickens. Then they started to eat there eggs so I stopped. So i,m kinda on the fence about feeding them shells. Luckily they stopped now that there free range. Like everything it's up to you. Good luck.

That's just what I think made them start eating their eggs. They have stopped now. It might of just been boredom though cause it was in the winter. My father feeds them shells and he has no problems.

Omg my phone changed ain't to aunt *face palms* that's pretty funny your rooster does that. I'm sure the hubby don't find it funny but lol poor guy lol

Day 21 and no piping uggg and in supposed to go shopping with my mother in law in about 4hrs. Don't want to miss my first hatch. Wonder if they will be a week late like the seller said they could be...I hope not I have day 13 Brahma and pekin eggs I want to put into the smaller bator after I clean it from this first hatch. I also know 1 lemon Brahma and one pekin are quitters they are not moving and I seen no veins in their eggs.

Omg now I know what ppl mean but it feels like forever when waiting for the first pip ugh. I do need to ask tho can a developing chicken egg have no visible veins but a developing chick inside? I'm asking because the one Brahma egg that I can't see veins in I swear the thing was moving. Or was it just dying slowly? If that is the case someone pls tell me now as I don't want it to suffer.
