Newbie incubator/hatcher questions

Ok seller said each egg is wrapped in tissue paper then placed in a foam box made for shipping eggs. The egg box is then wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in another box for shipping. Now I'm curious how long can fertile eggs be stored before being incubated.

That is exactly how a set of my Silkie eggs just came wrapped. In tissue paper, in a white egg carton with tape all around it. The other box I just received had then tightly bubble wrapped and taped. Eggs were really secure.
This will be my first hatch. Waiting on another batch of eggs due on Tuesday.

Lol sounds like me got my first batch and got a few more. Hope your luckier then me only 2eggs from my pekin and 2eggs from my lemon brahma has made it to day 14. My better packed eggs tho well I went into lock down with 8 or the original 9 Brahma eggs I first bought and they are starting to pip on day 21-22

It's 2:18 am here just checked on the eggs looks like another is starting to pip and this time I heard a few peeps. Very exciting. Wish I could say it's like the rush of having a baby but never felt that excited rush I felt dread as my own lo was 14 weeks early. Unlike these Chicks who like to make a late appearance lol

Well 5 have piped but now I have a problem none of the chicks pierced the outer membrane i.e the white film that like hold the shell together. So I was bad I opened about of the air cell area and found the chicks can't rotate around and the membrane on them was white so I put a lil olive oil on it and started looking around on what the issue is.. I think they are all shrink wrapped I moved some of the membrane with think or no veins no bleeders and now they can move a lil bit so I put them back to rest and hopefully they have it from there if not I have oil tweezers cotton balls q tips and everything else. And living in the UK kinda sucks Sundays stores do not open til 10am omg.

If I'm doing something wrong some pls speak up and be kind on a dummy lol

Second baby kicked out. Last 2 eggs were the worst shrink wrapped of the 8 the babies were upside down and could not pip so I did it and opened the membrane near their beaks put olive oil on the rest of the membrane and put them back in working as quicklyass possible without hurting then.

Had to move the first two chicks to the electric hen was worried the big on would squish the smaller one ( note to self brinsea eco mini 10 egg bator really small for 9 Brahma eggs). Uh sadly we lost the worst of the shrink wrapped chicks did not get to it on time I checked it over and the yolk was like a brown rot colour and smelled bad so I doubt it would have made it. But plus side here is the two under the electric hen
