Hatching

Hi there
We have just found 5 eggs together in our yard where our Indian Runners run around. We have two - male and female. The eggs were very cold so I thought that they would be no good for hatching. Is this the case? I have read that they often lay their eggs all over the place but these were definitely all in one place. Do they lay one at a time or a few at a time? Once they are cold does that mean they will be no good for hatching? I brought them inside yesterday thinking that they were only good for eating but now I'm not so sure. She has laid another by the back door.
Anyone have any advice?
Cheers

They will be fine for eating. If they are fertile they will probably be ok for hatching as well.

They only start incubating when they hit a certain temperature (37.4 degrees).

Hope this helps :)
