Newbie, Inherited Chickens...

Hello hello! My name is Tay and I'm totally new to chickens. We're moving to another state, and the current owners of the house we're moving to are leaving their chickens behind. If I'm not mistaken, there are five hens and one rooster, but I'll know for sure once we get there in the beginning of September.

Aside from our new flock and me and my husband, we have a jumping spider and three dogs: a husky, a blue heeler, and a "pound special" mutt. I'm so excited to add chickens to the mix! They're adorable, and so funny. Plus, fresh eggs will be great!
