Hello everyone,
My name is Diana. I live in Northeast Connecticut. My husband and I are thinking about getting a few chickens for eggs. We live in town and have to have permission from the town (and signatures from our neighbors) before we even get started. If approved, we can have up to 6 chickens and no roosters.
When I was a teenager, I lived in southern California and my family had chickens. At the time, I wasn't all that interested in the details of owning chickens, but now I would really like to have some chickens. About a year ago I did a google search and found this website, plus, my mom in CA just got some chicks shortly before our visit out there (just got home last night), and she recommended this website as well. I'm hoping to learn a lot, especially about what is different about raising chickens here in New England, as opposed to California.
