Newbie Intro

from Northern CA... chickenless here too for 9 more days... can you see me pouting???? We took a break from poultry for the last 6 months and can't wait to have fuzzybutts again... got the coops delivered yesterday and I can't wait to see my yard full of chickens again. You will be surprised to find they have personalities just like dogs (very individual) and very sweet most of the time if they are hand raised from chickhood..

Welcome Ya! Laws are changing ,but very slow. Just get hens no roosters you should be fine.have a coop and housing so their not flying into your neightbors yards and leaving deposits. If I had my way everyone should have chickens, their a joy to watch. Here at back to basics I can never remember not having chickens.

80 chickens/9 guineas/2 dogs wanting another/6 goats/ 4 pigs at least now, more later, 2 hives of bees,2cats/1 beef/ worms/rabbits/ and my fish and frogs.
