There are LOADS of very experienced people on here willing to help us newbie chicken folk, just ask and you will receive - I've received loads of help and advice.

Good plan! We built our coops free out of pallets. I found the plans for free too. My husband and I pulled off the wood and straightened the nails even. We found discarded tar paper and so the whole projects cost us nothing but sweat. Even the fencing for the chicken run was discarded. Free is good. I got buckets from bakeries free too - frosting buckets. So you can minimize costs
We used oops paint to paint the coops in one case we got this fancy brand with a rebate of $5 and it cost me $5.

Just something to consider if you are looking in to setting up coops and runs for future birds
