Newbie - Moving Chicks to Coop - How do the learn to go up the chicken run?

Hi All,
I just moved my chicks to the coop, the days are warm in california, but the night can get in the high 30's.
The chicks move about the coop fine, but they have not ventured up to the top of the coop. Will the find their way up the chicken run to their nice weather protected home?
If not, what can I do to make them go up?

I keep them locked up for about three days if they are in new digs. They then feel safe sleeping there and will return at night.
It depends a lot on their age.
They will roost when they feel ready. Until then, they sleep on the floor.
