Hi,

This is my first time with pheasants. I bought about 60 young (under a week old) assorted chicks. I can ID the ringnecks, the blacks and the goldens, but one has baffeled me. Since I'm tech challenged, no pics. The chick has a bronze/reddish head and back with white dots on each side of it's tail feathers. Might be a male since it's tail feathers seem longer than the other chicks. Any help would be appreicated.

Thanks,

Tony

red legs it definately sounds like a siilver now although they dont usually get much color fo a few weeks but its possble and there arent too many species of pheasants with red legs

The person I bought the chicks from had the following breeds -

Ringneck
Yellow Goldens
Blacks
Lady Amhurst

I don't remember any red goldens, but other than the red legs, the chick looks like a red golden. Will attempt to post pics later this evening. I found the topic of how to post pics and will try. Hopelessly tech deficiant !!!

Tony
