Hey everyone. I am getting my BYC's this coming weekend. I am getting a red rooster and 7 laying hens. Wow, I am getting them all for $35. I work all through the weeks so I am having a friend to build me a coop. So, I will be gleaning all of the info I can from you guys. Thanks for any help.

Thank you. I have memories of my childhood when living with my grandparents and the chickens and all of that, but I wanted to have my own now that I have a place I can have them. Looking forward to this project.

Hi and good morning!
I enjoyed reading blogs about coops. You guys really have it happening for you.
I am supposed to have my coop ready by the weekend, however, I work everyday until 6 pm. My friend has a byc coop with a rooster and 6 laying hens and he is going to help with getting mine ready.
Spring is upon us and with my new location I will be able to have a coop. I am very zealous about this project as raising chickens was something I was introduced to by my grandfather when I was a child.
