(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Well I am a newbie to the quail keeping, having quite a small space and cheek by jowl with the neighbours, I opted for something smaller and quieter
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? I have 4 laying ladies - JK, Jacinta, Jonelle and Josephine.
except three are not delivering the goods right now. I am hoping its a settling in thing, One of the reasons I have joined this community is for some wisdom on how to keep them the happiest they can be
(3) What breeds do you have? Coturnix Celadons
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They are the cutest little things, and when they were giving out the eggs, it doesnt cease to amaze me
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I am a keen allotmenter, gardener and decoupeur and mosaic artist
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We are a house of me and the husband, two cats - who have tried and failed to meet the girls. Hilarious efforts were made, but to no avail. I built that coop good. Several fish. Feeling a bit dog broody too.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I think the forum keeps popping up when I am googling "why the heck aren't my quails laying eggs?" and " wire floor vs solid floor?" so I thought I would join the source of all the debate and wise exchanges
