I have a silkie who is broody for the first time and sitting on three eggs. I'm almost positive they aren't fertilized since she isn't around my rooster except when I put them in the coop together to sleep. Anyway- it's been about eight days, so I tried candling with a flashlight and didnt see anything except a ring around the bottom. Should I let her continue to sit on them?
Thank you, I'm new to chickens and this is my first experience with a broody.
