Newbie question... anyone with a Brower incubator?

I am borrowing an incubator. It came with verbal instructions and I downloaded official instructions off the web. I'm sure this is NOT going to be my only question but the bator comes with four pegs for air holes. The woman told me to open one up 3 days before hatch. The instructions say open one 3 days after start of incubation. She said that she had a bad batch last time they tried to incubate eggs.

Which is right? (I have no eggs yet.)

Does no one use Brower top hatch bators?

***ok. I see take one plug out on day 3 and stop it from turning 3 days before hatch. I must have gotten confused. ***
