I have four automatic turners but they are all stashed away right now. I have started turning by hand, but I use the roller derby method, I just wash my hands, lay it flat on the bunch o' eggs, and kinda drag them this way and that gently, pulling them from the outside to the inside. They end up randomly turned who knows which way from where they started, sometimes make a couple complete turns in the rearranging. Just takes a few seconds that way, and I have had my first decent hatch doing it that way. I am going to do a few more like that and see how it goes. I would rather take my chances with a hundred eggs hand turned, than forty machine turned. I will do a few experiments and see which way they turn out. I don't mark an x and o on them or anything, just the date I put them in on the wide end with a sharpie.
