Newbie question regarding SLW chicks...

    Just got my first SLW chicks yesterday. Here's my newbie question: do the various markings on the chicks have anything to do with how they color out as adults? Some of the chicks are really silver with black stripes; others are mostly black. Just wondering...

    Yes, it does. If the markings you're referring to are in the feathers, not the down, that is.

    Hatchery quality (most of them out there) Silver Laced Wyandottes vary greatly in coloring, some are decently laced, some are spangled, some are mostly black with bits of white here and there.
