newbie to BYC from NH

Good evening!

After spending a few months here soaking up all the great information, we decided to join the community to help out where we can.

My family is new to BYC. We started in late May 2020 with 11 black australops and 4 Cornish cross chicks.

We have made several mistakes along the way (prefab coop anyone?!) but have learned a ton from you all. Proud to say we have managed to raise all of them accept one that died a week old.

My spouse and I managed to process the 4 Cornish around 10 weeks in.

So our ten BA are getting ready to lay. Still waiting and learning more about when the time comes!

We spent a lot more than we first thought but think it will be worth it in the end. We are committed to raising chickens for several years now 😊.

We will try to fill out our profile and get involved as soon as things settle in.

A bit late saying this but welcome! And whats up from pelham, NH! We just started this year as well with ducks and chickens :)
