Newbie to chickens

I've always wanted to raise chickens and this year it looks as if it's going to happen!

I hope to start off with two or three and see how it goes. I wonder how they will get along with the dawgs.....

Love your Avatar Many thanks for the links which I will read.

I am lucky to have a friend who keeps chickens who lives close by, so I can pick her brains when necessary, but I obviously want to learn as much as I can about them.

I'm interested in good egg-layers, and the dogs will enjoy some quality eggs too, so hopefully, they will all get along
