Newbie to chickens

Hi I'm 3boysforme. I have 3 boys and we've recently added 6 chicks (well they're no longer chicks) to our family of 5, 3 dogs and 3 horses. I'm not sure what kind of chickens we have. I'm pretty sure I was buying red pullets but one of them is mostly white and has some black or brown feathers growing. I'm pretty sure it happens to be a roo as well. The other 5 appear to be red pullets and hens.
