Newbie to Goats!

Oh goodness, I meant the goats age requirements!

I'm 17, and am more than capable of walking a goat around.

Anyways, thanks for the information and for asking your friend. I'd be probably showing market I believe, with myotonic or if i showed dairy, it would be with a Nigerian.

The 4-H club leader said that I will be fine with age of the goat by the date of the county fair.

I echo the above thread that you need to get another goat. It will be need a companion, and one of them will be the boss. I would advise you to research/read as much as you can so you can learn more about what you are getting into. I really enjoy my goats, and it is really fun when you breed your own kids. There is a great book that I recomend "Barnyard in your Backyard". It has a great section on Goats. Good luck and have fun.
