Newbie to hatching fertile chicken and peacock eggs

Hatching out my fourth batch of broody raised eggs now! A word of advice: If an egg cracks, don't give it up for lost. Put white (so the hen won't peck at it and maybe hurt the egg more) candle wax or clear nail polish on the crack. I cracked a viable egg the other night, and read online that someone's child hit their viable egg against a shelf, making a huge dent and cracking the egg halfway around. A bit of candle wax saved the egg, which hatched out fine. I just thought I'd mention it, so you don't have to go through the same panic I did. I am waiting to see if my egg will be okay still, but I'm very hopeful!
Do you have any specific questions you need answered? I can probably help with any chicken-related issues, don't know much about peafowl.
