Newbie to incubating with question????????????????

OK, tomorrow is day 18 but I am hearing pecking coming from inside now, no piping that I see. I will be leaving to cover for my son at work in about an hour. I will be gone until around 4 in the morning. Is it too big a risk to let the eggs stay in the turner with pecking going on or will I be OK ?????

It will be ok, but I would unplug the turner just to be on the safe side. I have many a chick hatch in the turner with no ill effects.

If you already hear pecking I would go ahead and remove the turner and boost the humidity. It won't hurt to stop turning a day early.
