Welcome!

As you have already received links to some good starting points, I will just wish you all the best.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock when they arrive, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Thanks everyone :)

I have so many questions !!

Sand, straw or wood shavings in my coop...
Where do i go to find out?

Hi Lisavan,

Welcome to BYC. You can use any of these in your coop. It is mostly what is available in your area and what you like the most. With the straw and wood chips people use the waist by shoveling it out and use in compost. They let this set for a while and use in the gardens.

There is a search bar at the top that you can enter what your looking for and find threads all about that subject. Hope this helps.
