Thanks for all the greetings, y'all!
I just figured out one of the Black Copper Marans is actually a Cream Legbar.
My neighbor grabbed 2 dark ones and brought them to me after I was scammed out of 2 9 month old laying Black Copper Marans. I had no idea there were Chicken scammers.
She grabbed them quickly and didn't realize she had given me a Cream Legbar.
As long as they are both pullets, that's all that matters. Both very friendly and get along with my Silkies.
I thought they were 7 weeks old as my neighbor wasn't sure when I asked her. She said she looked at her records and they are both 9 weeks old.
Interestingly, enough that would put their hatch dates around my Uncle's Birthday.
My family actually has a long history of raising Chickens. My Uncle had a farm and had the Silkies and Horses.
My Great Grandmother (Uncle and Father's Grandmother) had a small chicken farm. And her brother had a huge chicken farm that is still operating to this day.
So I guess it's in my blood.
I am thrilled to finally be living somewhere where I can have them.
