We're from NH and got our chickens in the most interesting way....we bought a farm and the people left their chickens and a duck! We assumed they'd take them, but my husband had chickens as a kid, and I'm a fast learner. We had 8 total....then I got babies and raised them, and now, we have 16 chickens, the original duck died but I 'rescued' another duck.
We have NH reds, brahams, leghorns and the duck I believe is a khaki-campbell with an unknown father....
My user name is my favorite chicken from the group that got left here....she is sooooo friendly, we named her officer friendly!
You'll hear me complaining alot about coyotes....and bear - we're in the boondocks..
Nice to meet you all - and yes, i will be addicted to this site for sure. I LOVE my chickens....and love talking about them. I know when I'm tending to them, my blood pressure goes way, way down!
