Hi! I just started this and i was wondering if there are any requirements or anything like that. I own 30+ chickens! I also have some chicks and i was wondering about the leg bands or tagging them to separate them from eachother.

Some leg band and some dont.
I don’t but it’s an easy way to keep track of who does what.
I have a flock of New Jersey Giants that is made up of 3 hatchings from two different hatcheries and a few that were born to broody hens. I can’t tell them apart

I have one hen that is either a Jersey Giant or a Black Asutralorp. DobieLover i was wondering if this website had requirements. If not, great! I am wanting to leg band the chickens so i can tell them all apart and move them in groups.

ours are not banded---and only the few unusual ones have names! (Amelia as a chick thought she could fly anywhere!) Welcome! requirements are only to give them enough room to be comfy, nutritional food, and love and protection

I have bands on mine for birthday purposes because I am horrible with dates so I have them color coded by month and my quail have to be banded it is state law banding is a preference really

Any Co-Op, TSC, Rural King, only poultry supplier and Amazon will have them.
create a spreadsheet with who and how you band them.
