Newbie, very active chicks

Just got my very first pullets yesterday, 3 RIR and 3 Barred Rock. They see the be doing well in the brooder but they are very active today. They are running around, flapping and chasing each other. They calm down and sleep for 10 mins or so then they are back at it. They seem to be eating and drinking fine. Is this them just playing or am I missing something with how active they are?

They have spurts of activness and longer sleeping periods.
