Newbie w/ cab bator, Just need to know by how many 1/10's temp can...

be off. I am calibrating the wafer thermostat for the backup thermostat, and the directions said to set it at 102 degrees and then let it set for 1/2hour to be sure it holds. Temp. has be going between 101.08 and 102 for about two hours, seems consistant and good, but does it need to hold 102 exactly or is this normal? I think this seems right, but wanted to be sure before I try to calibrate the electric therm. Thanks for any replies, I am a total newbie.

I went ahead and set primary thermostat and can't get it exactly at 99.5. I hit 99.3 or 99.6. Does it matter?

Please...LOL, I have a perfectionistic streak, may try all night to get it right if there is no answer.

+- .5 around ideal would be fine.

Some bators only keep +-1 which is fine when measuring air temp, as the egg temp will be inbetween.
