TwoCrows, Thank You!! I googled images of pin feathers, and yep, that's what they are! Looks pretty freaky. Nope, no brooder. I got them at 1 week old and just kept them in a hamster cage, in the house, until I got the coop made. Took me about a week (it was a fun project)! Then I transferred them outside and they have been there ever since. And yes! They are pretty fun! I've been wanting some for years and years now and finally found a semi-local source for them. Just Coturnix for now. I've heard they are the easiest and I love, love, love the eggs! Unfortunately, I think I ended up with mostly boys :-(
