​Oh wow I am glad you got to them in time.  Coops can be rebuild and runs repaired. The most important is the chicks and your safety.   Don't go into standing water in the basement with out turning off all electricity.

Hello, "Newbie"! I'm "QuileutePJerrie", and I'm brand new to BYC's. This is my attempt to introduce myself, so bear with me. I volunteer on a large farm, where I share the owning and raising of a mixed flock of Chickens and Turkeys! I will be saying "I": I currently have 11 chickens which I raised from 1 day old, putting them in our deep claw foot tub under a lamp. I built the Coop which is my Avatar. I raised these chickens last spring and they are thriving. I currently have two hens "sitting", and two or three laying wonderful eggs. I have 24 eggs in an incubator, and just purchased 14 chicks which are now in the tub under a lamp! 7 are Leghorns, and 7 are the Wy.... (cannot spell it). I have 15 turkeys, Heritage Breeds [Red Bourbon/Palm]: two breeding pairs and three sets of their previous chicks. My two hens are laying eggs, and probably one hen from last spring. I am enjoying them tremendously and of course, have a steep learning curve! I call my flock my "Churkins"! I am so happy to join with all the folks who come here. I will learn so much, and perhaps be of help to others. Please welcome me. I welcome you:0).
