Hello-
I am a relatively new chicken owner (maybe one rooster). I have six 12 week old chickens. It's a mixed flock. I have one Buff Orpington, one Rhode Island Red, one Silver Laced Wyandotte, one Golden Laced Wyandotte, one Easter Egger and one Black Australorp that may in fact be a rooster. The jury is still out on that one.
I also have a dorky dog named Izzy that is great with the chickens. If anything, she is a bit afraid of them. However, she does like to hang out with them sometimes and take a nap. I also have a cat that cannot be bothered with the chickens. She has far more important things to do.
I am really enjoying watching the chickens grow and seeing there individual personalities develop. I am really looking forward to them laying some eggs!
