Wow! You will have a beautiful flock when all the chicks grow up; I've had three of your four breeds and they will be so lovely.

It also sounds like you have a full plate with all your other critters. As someone who also moved to the country so I could keep my miniature goats, I congratulate you on being able to enjoy all the animals and poultry that make you happy. (BTW, in addition to the goats, there are now hair sheep, chickens, ducks, geese, cats and a "livestock guardian failure" Great Pyrenees. It's easy to keep adding when you have more space!).

Having two vet techs in the house sounds wonderful.

Welcome to BYC! You will find so many knowledgeable and helpful people here. Not to mention quite a few entertaining stories from people who just LOVE poultry.

What does a vet tech do?

I administer vaccines, blood draws, urine collection via ultrasound, monitor anesthesia during surgery, dental cleanings, bandaging, post op care, hospitalization monitoring ect.
