1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?

Yes! My wife and I just purchased 4 3day olds yesterday.

(2) How many chickens do you have right now?

4 chicks

(3) What breeds do you have?

Rhode Island Red, Blue L Red Wyandotte, Barred Plymouth Rock, Aruacana

(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?

Enjoying them as pets and their eggs. We just moved to Bend Oregon and finally have some land to have animals like chickens.

(5) What are some of your other hobbies?

Snowboarding, hiking, fishing, dirt bikes, surfing, skating.

(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.

We also have a Great Dane, Boxer, Pit/Boxer, terrier mix, and 2 cats! My wife and I are both vet techs and love animals.

(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?

I came across this site last night when searching for info on raising chickens. This website looked like a great source for info as well as a fun community of fellow chicken lovers!
