Hello everyone!!!
I am new to raising chickens and ducks. Started about 3 weeks ago. I have 6 chickens and 6 ducks. 4 black sex link chickens , 2 barred Plymouth rock. And I honestly do not remember my duck breeds. 4 are black and 2 are yellow with little puffs on their heads.
I love listening to them talk and interact with each other. I like knowing where my food is coming from.
I crochet and take care of 6 dogs and 3 cats. I rescue those that have been abandoned. My better half and I own a trucking and pilot car business. So when we have time we love being outdoors and raising our small farm.
I actually found this group while searching for an answer to why my runt duck that is 2 weeks old is severely constipated.

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. Sorry I don't know much about ducks but, if you go to the forums at top of this page- you can click on. The scroll down to "Duck Forum." Please post there - the experienced folks should be able to give you suggestions that I am not aware of.

BTW I am just wondering if your duck is having constipation - that can occur in chicks
if they have what is called "Pasty butt," which is when dried fecal matter blocks their anus and they have difficulty expelling waste. However, I don't believe ducks have solid
output. Again I recommend asking folks who do have ducks

Hello and welcome!! This is such a helpful group of people. I've only been on here a month, but I've learned so much already. Any questions you have , please post and someone (or many!) will try to answer. Glad you found us. Your flock sounds wonderful! I'd love to see pictures when you get a chance. Bye!
