Hi all, chicken newbie here!
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Doing some research into backyard chickens to hopefully start building a coop soon
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? None! I previously hatched and raised ducks for 20 years though (mandarins, wood ducks, call ducks)
(3) What breeds do you have?
Still researching on what would be best for me. Currently contemplating Pekin bantams
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Idk yet! With my ducks I loved the bond I had with both my hatchlings and adults that I got to trust me and allow handling
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? I’m a veterinary technician, so animals are kind of my life. I foster orphaned kittens and usually always have a kitten with me in the summer going everywhere
