(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I am very new! I have just ordered 6 chicks(Speckled Sussex) , will be ready around 5/20 so I am in the planning stages right now. So much info and questions, just want to get it right!
I am a ophthalmic technician and my husband is a animal control officer. We are around all sorts of animals. I am currently waiting for the next Massachusetts Rehabbers course for small wild life as well. I currently have 3 lizards, Fish, Hamster and a awesome Dog - who thinks she is human! Hubby and I like the animals more than the kids LOL! With all 4 of our children older and self sufficient, I felt this was a great time for me to dive into the backyard chickens! Something I have always wanted to do!
