hello
im new to chickens and im only want about three in my back yard they need to be friendly and desient egg layers and easy to manage what would you reccommend

Barred Rocks !!!!! Great layers, docile temperment, occasionally broody, all around great birds.

Yeah- Rocks or Orps. They are easy going, good layers, and come in lots of colors!

There are so many nice chickens to choose from! White eggs, brown eggs, large fowl, small fowl, and then all the colors! You'll have a great time choosing your new flock. I'd go with 4 chickens to start off a backyard flock.
