Hello to all. My family recently welcomed some baby chicks into our lives.
We have 3 Australorps (Lucy, Sweetie & Nugget), 2 Delaware (Precious & Princess) and 2 Barred Rock (Talula & Bob) - all hens, we hope. My 5 year old named theml, and is over the moon for them all. So far they have been such a joy.
I am new to keeping chickens, but have tried to research as much as I can - both online, and by asking questions to everyone I can. I spend time with them, and try to touch them all at least 5-6 times a day. I really hope that they will all be sweet.
This morning, my so far friendliest girl, Bob, bit my finger. I was a little shocked. Not sure of the best way to handle that, but I am searching on here for some ideas.
I am very happy to be a part of this community. Everyone seems to be so supportive of eachother.

Probably happens if you feed them treats out of your hand. My chickens don't seem to be able to see very well in that aspect.
