I just wanted to say hello. I have had chickens for a year now, and although I find it somewhat challenging at times (especially during racoon season), this has been a very rewarding hobby.
I always wanted chickens, but I never thought to check my city's code enforcement, until some neighbor mentioned that they had build a coop and could not wait for their chicks to be grown. Needless to say, a few month I had my own brood. Then the chicken fever caught on in my neighborhood, and now we have a facebook group with more than 100 members, mainly living within a few miles from each others. Even with our local support group, I find this website has been extrememly helpful as a supplemental wealth of knowledge.
