We are brand new chicken owners. My middle daughter and husband have spent the last couple months building a coop and run. Yesterday we brought home two Rhode Island Reds and Two Barred Rocks. They seem to be acclimating well. We are so excited to be a part of this community! I've been reading up on here for weeks and the information is phenomenal!

Welcome, Welcome, Welcome!!! Those are great breeds to start with, if you'd asked I would have said those. Sounds like you're all set with a coop and everything but if you need any help with anything theres always lots of people willing to help here on BYC, home of the chicken lunatics!
