Newbie

I have eggs pipping in the incubator. I am so excited. I miscalculated and thought they had another week to go .they were still in the turner so had to scramble to get them ready for hatching. I can hear the chick peeping! Pray everything goes well.

I have a reptipro 6000 with one egg turner that holds 16 eggs. So far it has worked well but I wish. It had another egg turner. For larger eggs I put them on the bottom. I also use a little giant styrofoam incubator that I use for hatching. Also works well but have a harder time controlling humidity.

Humidity is hard to control.I did not have a hatch because I had the incubator in the house where the a/c system keeps the humidity low.

Mine is also in the house but in a spare room where I can close the vents if needed. I live in California so more concerned about the heat.

Between hatches do you completely clean and sanitize your incubators? Also let it air dry long enough that all fumes have dissipated .

Sending good hatching vibes your way

. Please let us know how this hatch turns out

That is something I am concerned about, I do clean it between hatches but don't know what to use for disinfectant. So far I have two hatched one of which died the next day from I believe mushy chick syndrome. It hatched early with no assistance but the yolk sac was not absorbed. Thanks for any advice.
