Well I have had my little flock for about a month and I have already had a setback. 5 of my sweet babies were killed by a hawk. I cried like a baby. One survived and her name is Uno Lucky Chicken. I now have created a more secure enclosure and have 6 new chicks on their way. I have read a ton and love learning about raising chickens.

I too would have cried like a baby. It is hard to lose them after you get so attached. Well, enjoy your new chicks and I hope they bring you great joy in life.
