Hi all... I have been reading and reading and reading!!! So glad I was directed to this great blog/forum!! I do not have my chickens (pullets) yet but looking at maybe late next week.
I do have my coop, we are currently working on getting the run built for them. Would go quicker if the rain would stop! I did some painting on the inside of my coop, and reading on here that letting it air out for a week is best for the birds, so thats my plan!!
I am so excited about my new adventure! I have a 3 yr old grandson that I know is going to love to pet them! We are getting our pullets from a local farm just up the road.
I did buy a prefab coop to start, so I am doing some help to it to make it last longer by painting the floors with water proofing and sealing the outside. I am looking forward to sharing some pics soon! Thanks to everyone for all the contributions to this informative blog/forum!
