Thanks rocky Rhodes. That's what I was looking for a mixed flock. Now that I'm older I've grown to respect the hen. Can't wait for the first egg. I've been a member for a day now and been on the site for half that my wife thinks in crazy. ( she's from the city ).

Don't lose sleep over the spelling. You were close enough that I can tell what breeds you have. If your Cochin is like the ones we used to have, she is very friendly and gentle. My children made lap pets out of them. Good luck with your flock.

Well I finally got my first egg. I can't tell which of the ten it was but the black shinny one has been the most vocal so I think it's her and I've got one a day for the past three days. Sooooo excited I meant the kids were so excited can't wait for more. Just switched to the lay mash so more should be on the way
