Newbie!

Hi everyone! My name is Morgan and I just got 5 chicks on Saturday..a Rhode Island Red, Buff Orphington, Silver Laced Wynadotte, Plymouth Barred Rock, and Black Sexlink. I'm super excited about them, although I am a little nervous about keeping them safe/warm once they are moved outside, and also hoping I didn't get any roos! I've been browsing the site for a while now and have already learned a lot. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions in the next few months!

Welcome to BYC, Morgan! Glad you decided to join our flock. It looks like you've got a duplicate thread. But as I stated in my greeting on your other thread, you have a great mix of chicks. Black Sex Links are my favorites; hardy and friendly egg laying machines. I've raised them for years and they have been my best layers, consistently churning out more than 300 egg per hen per year. I also love the beauty and calm, gentle personalities of the Buff Orpingtons. My children, and now my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of them.
